Introducing the New Editor-in-Chief of Trends in Scholarly Publishing

It is with great pleasure and excitement that the Asian Council of Science Editors announces the appointment of Professor Gazi Mahabubul Alam, PhD, FRSA, as the new Editor-in-Chief of Trends in Scholarly Publishing, effective March 04, 2024.

Prof. Gazi Mahabubul Alam’s illustrious career as a social scientist and Education Policy and Governance Analyst at the Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia, positions him as an eminent leader in the field. With a profound commitment to higher education and a global perspective, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our esteemed journal.

Throughout his tenure at various prestigious institutions, including the University of Malaya and East-West University, Prof. Alam has garnered international recognition for his groundbreaking research and influential publications. His remarkable contributions extend beyond academia, as evidenced by his role as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, UK, and his pivotal involvement in shaping education policies on a national scale.

Prof. Alam's vision for Trends in Scholarly Publishing is ambitious yet attainable. He aims to uphold the journal's esteemed reputation while enhancing its impact and efficiency.
